The biggest change in my life occurred in 1981 when I contracted bacterial meningitis and lost my hearing. Yes, I'm deaf. I was in grad school at the time and married, but that all flew out the window after that I worked in the clerical field most of my life. Got my medical assistant's certificate up here in Santa Rosa but couldn't find work, so I got into sports medicine. I loved it!

Since graduation...I went to City College, San Jose State, and Gallaudet University. I played volleyball for all three schools. Also played for the USVBA. Had to give it up when I was playing for my job place in Lake Tahoe and broke my elbow.
I've traveled to Poland, Austria, a layover in Rome.
I've lived in San Jose, Washington D.C., Rockviille, MD, Lake Tahoe on the north and south shore. Now I just want to go back for a visit, I'd like to live there again, but not safe in the winter.

I joined a myriad of after school activities: Service, Glee, Drama clubs, and athletic teams.

The one prank that stand out was locking Miss B in her office, Nina Reyer and I did it together then couldn't figure out why we were both called to Sr. Leonard's office. She could hardly contain herself when she asked "how old are the two of you?"
